Some of my favorite musical artists:

- Fugazi** My friend Dave got me interested in this
band. Post punk-rock type music.
- Moody Blues** My parents brought me up playing this band.
- Santana I was brought up on this band.
- Mike Keneally**
Went on tour w/Zappa 87-88. (Very talented complex guitar player!!)
- King Crimson**
Adam from UPS told me about and
played this progressive-rock band for me.
- Smog** Smog was introduced
to me via The Flaming Lips. They covered one of
his songs called "The Chosen One".
- Shawn Phillips** An artist who has amazed me and still has me in
awe with his multi-talented voice. First heard from my parents.
- John McLaughlin** I was turned
on to this artist by a fellow named Dave M. who lives in Wisconsin who recorded Visions of the Emerald Beyond for me. John McLaughlin
originally was the leader of a band called Mahavishnu Orchestra.
- Led Zeppelin
Angela, a friend from my high school years played this very talented band
for me.
- Beatles
The Beatles, the sign that I had parents from the sixties.
- Tom Waits**
Joel from Chicago played this one of a kind artist (somewhat like Capt. Beefheart in his voice
and overall weirdness) for me.
- Pink Floyd** Heard for the first time in 87-88 time period. (The album was Dark
Side of The Moon.)
- Primus** Someone from UPS (where I
once-upon-a-time worked) clued me in on this wonderfully weird
band.
- Nine Inch Nails** Some one who worked at UPS played this band for me in
'92-'93 time period.
- Flaming Lips Dave W. got me into this
band. (Before they were popular!)
- Dead Kennedys (Also
try this site out www.alternativetentacles.com.
Mark from Eau Claire, WI recorded the album for me called In
God We Trust Inc. in 1986. A one of a kind punk band.
Very interesting
lyrics.
- They Might Be Giants
Sam who was going to DeVry and working at UPS got me interested in this goofy-lyrics
and off-beat band.
- Melvins** The Seattle, WA based band actually had some of the
members of Nirvana as their road crew early on in their career around 1984.
I very heavy band...
- Morphine** I read about this band near the beginning pages of The
Illinois Entertainer in early '94. I saw them for the first time at The Empty Bottle.

Willis** A diagnosed schizophrenic
African-American who I met at a concert where he was selling his own CDs. Later on
he became more than just local!
- The
Dead Milkmen Sam is also responsible for getting me into
this band back in '91.
- Ween** A friend (Joe) said I would like this
band, he was right on target!
